The Cure for MS

A fund of Partnership for Cures

Cure for MS

Mission:

Welcome to the Cure for MS fund at Partnership for Cures! The objective of this funding partner is to find a cure for multiple sclerosis. We believe much of the research devoted to multiple sclerosis is aimed at treatments, rather than a cure, and are concerned clinical science is being held hostage by an outdated clinical trials funding model. Specifically, unless a treatment has vast commercial benefit to a pharmaceutical or medical device company, there are no other funding sources able to take on the bold and expensive mission of researching a cure.

The Cure for MS fund has identified a treatment approach developed by Johns Hopkins using a chemotherapy drug called High Dose Cyclophosphamide (HiCy) that holds real promise for not just slowing the progression of MS, but also reducing the degree of disability experienced by those who suffer from it. We plan to raise funds from individuals and organizations that care about MS to fund a phase III clinical trial that will further study the efficacy of the HiCy treatment model.
